Some parameters can be adjusted to speed up data retrieval or improve Insider's responsiveness. Request timeout setting can be defined to cancel runaway queries. If a query exceeds the threshold it will be canceled by Insider and an alert will be triggered. Another parameter that can be switched on and off is session statistics retrieval. Disabling session statistics helps improve performance especially when there are many concurrent database sessions. When session statistics are disabled Activity column is not shown in Sessions view and session alerts (a session consuming too much resources) are not triggered
